The

History

The managing director of Infralytic Dr. rer. nat. Thomas Huth-Fehre, a qualified experimental physicist, has been dealing with the wavelength-specific interaction of light with matter (spectroscopy) for more than 30 years.

After ten years of purely academic studies of high-resolution laser spectroscopy on diatomic molecules and mass spectrometry on biomolecules, he devoted himself to applied research in sensor technology at the Institute of Chemo- and Biosensors in Münster in 1993.

There, infrared spectroscopy quickly became the focus of his work. Since 1999 he has continued his research within the Infralytic GmbH, which he co-founded.

Graduate chemist Michael Tummuscheit, managing director since 2015, has been developing and manufacturing research equipment and devices up to the pilot plant scale since 1995. He has been working on the metrological verifiability of scientific questions for over 30 years. His particular interest in the physico-chemical properties of matter, the technical solvability of measurement tasks and their constructive implementation led him to infrared spectroscopy.

The owner-operated Infralytic GmbH is growing slowly and steadily. The team’s harmonious and professional cooperation continues when dealing with customers. Humans and nature come first in all our decisions.

The perfect combination for the handheld NG2 model

.
  • Both systems are based on the proven infrared filter technology and both systems use our new EasyCal technology
  • EasyCal enables identical behavior with the same calibrations
  • Calibrations from your NG2 handheld device can be transferred to your inline head
  • You can also transfer your own calibrations using the NG2 handheld device and the calibration assistant

The NG 2

Features of the NG2 model

  • The EasyCal technology enables identical behavior with the same calibrations. This means that calibrations can be exchanged directly between different NG2 devices
  • New calibration management: only the calibrations really needed on site can be uploaded to the device; all others remain on the customer PC
  • Calibration wizard for easy creation of customer calibrations
  • Measurement in mg/m2 for thin layers
  • Extended internal measurement memory
  • Enter a comment directly on the device to group measurements
  • Data transfer to PC, mobile phone or tablet also possible via Bluetooth
  • Compass function for easy determination of the rolling direction on structured surfaces

The NG 1

Our second model is improved by:

  • Significantly longer battery measurement operation
  • Illuminated graphic display with menu function
  • Better handling thanks to the shortened design
  • Internal measured value memory can be read out with software on the PC
  • additional free channels for user calibrations
  • Extended service life through redesign of moving parts
  • Multilingual operating menus

First oil layer thickness sensor

Our first model and at that time world’s first

  • With extensive background compensation
  • An initial measurement on empty sheet metal was therefore unnecessary
  • The influence of sheet metal roughness on the measurement result is largely compensated for automatically by several built-in automatic roughness compensations
